Family Workshop: Fine Featherwork

Families are invited to a feather finding mission. They will examine the various ways feathers have been used for adornment amongst native peoples of the Americas, from colorful headdresses to elaborate patterned textiles, to fans—and even to battle gear. Native American legends and stories will be told while families create their own shields or wall hangings. Craft recommended for ages 7 and above. $10 per person ($5 Museum members). Registration includes museum admission donation. Pre-registration required by January 3: 215/898-4016.
